Job: restaurant owner/manager
What makes you happy?
to have my own restaurant and to make people happy by serving good food
What makes you sad?
sometimes I am not happy because the rent of the restaurant is high and it’s increasing every year
If you had one wish, what would it be?
to be able to keep the restaurant and to stay healthy
Encounter: Amala means «Mother» in Tibetan language and that is how this lovely and sweet lady introduced herself to us. Her restaurant Double Dorje is located close to the stupa in Boudha and when you enter it, you feel like at home. She has run a restaurant for 30 years thanks also to an American guy who came to Nepal when he was a student and supported her family to open a restaurant. The food is very tasty and she makes the best Momos in the world and the way she laughs is priceless. We went there every day for lunch or dinner as we just loved this place!

While in Pokhara, we went there at least once a day to have our Masala Tea which was deliscious (the sandwiches were yummie too). We always had a chat with Sita, a lovely, humorous and smiling women. She explained us that her husband is baking all the bred at their home where they also have a guesthouse. After the trekking, we decided to stay at her place even though it was a little bit further away. We got to know all the familiy including the animals (dog and cat) and had a good time staying there.
