Encounter: Pergencita has a little massage shop in front of Pagsama Beach and I went there for a pedicure for around 1 dollar. She has 6 children and is such a warmhearted person and was painting a little flower on my toe nail that lasted for over a month.

Encounter: We met Juan on our arrival in Moalboab where he tried to rip us off for the transfer with his trycicle. He kept following us and finally offered a fair price. He picked us up again and in the end got a commission for bringing us to that guesthouse. Pretty sure, it was worth it for him as we were staying there for 4 nights.

Encounter: on our way back from the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, we stopped for a pizza at his place. Juver is a very funny guy and was singing most of the time we were there. I explained him what «Pizzaioli» means and he told us that this is gonna be the name of his Pizzeria one day.

Encounter: Jorge was our guide on a Island Hopping Tour in El Nido. He and the entire crew did a great job and it was fun with them, which is not always the case, when you do this kind of activity that are so touristic.

Encounter: Rowell is working together with Elaiza in a restaurant in Coron City where we had a meal at least once a day. They both are from Manila, but work here to earn money and also to support the family.

Encounter: Ron owns a grocery shop which was just located in front of our guesthouse in Coron. It was the cleanest and the most organised and wonderful arranged shop I saw in the Philippines.
